The CV-5000 is a modern platform that supports the transfer of Topcon data to every CV system throughout the clinic, and will populate the patient’s EMR. Data import allows rapid comparison of the final refraction with the previous spectacles, enabling patients to easily visualise the value of small changes in their prescription.

The small head and quality Topcon engineering ensure rapid and efficient lens disc rotation, to minimise ocular stress and support patient decision-making. In tandem with digital connectivity, this also significantly reduces the total refraction time.
Variety of Test Charts and Refraction Options
The CV-5000 comes with a variety of test chart options, allowing customisation of the refraction process to suit a wide range of patients and refracting styles.
Digital Connectivity
The CV-5000 can receive refraction data from Topcon instruments and/or selected non-Topcon devices, such as refractometers and lensmeters, allowing the import of key pretest data. Automatic data transfer avoids transcription errors associated with manual typing and speeds up workflow. It also allows quick comparison between the current refraction and the patient’s previous visual condition, helping them recognise the benefits of small prescription changes — or the value of a second pair for night driving or PC screen use.
Controller Options
One-Dial Controller KB-50S
The dial navigation function simplifies and speeds up control over the sphere, cylinder, or prism power in response to the patient’s answers. Many functions can also be controlled
from the KB-50S keyboard or touchscreen, to suit personal preference.
Tablet*
The wireless tablet option offers flexible operation from any position within the refraction room. Control of the refraction system can be combined with other useful clinical tablet applications to optimise workflow. The tablet enables intuitive operation through the touching and swiping of
the screen.

Operating Software on an External PC
Control the CV-5000 through an existing PC, minimising disruption to clinical workflow, saving space, and enabling the use of other software during the examination.
