Topcon Europe Medical B.V. Acquires OptiekXL and Announces Direct Operations in the Netherlands

Capelle aan den IJssel, The Netherlands — 19 December 2025: Topcon Healthcare is pleased to announce the acquisition of OptiekXL, a leading Dutch supplier of optical instruments, workshop tools, and shop supplies for opticians and medical specialists.

Founded in 2008 in the Netherlands, OptiekXL has grown into one of the largest optical suppliers in the country, serving a broad customer base with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer service. Through continuous growth and innovation, OptiekXL has established a solid reputation within the optical market.

Following the acquisition, OptiekXL will continue its operations under its trusted brand name, now “Powered by Topcon.” This collaboration strengthens Topcon’s presence in the Dutch optical market and creates new opportunities to enhance further product availability, service levels, and customer support.

In addition, Topcon Healthcare announces that it will begin direct sales of Topcon instruments via OptiekXL in the Netherlands as of April 1, 2026. This strategic step reflects Topcon’s long-term commitment to the Dutch market and supports closer collaboration with customers and partners.

The acquisition of OptiekXL and the launch of direct operations mark an important milestone in Topcon’s European growth strategy, reinforcing its ambition to deliver innovative, value-driven solutions to eye care professionals.
