6 CPD Points in one Evening with Topcon and OcuPlan

Join us for an interactive CPD session on the importance of early AMD diagnosis and how to communicate with patients. Topcon and OcuPlan are teaming up to run 5 evening events over May, June and July. The two-part sessions will enable delegates to secure 6 CPD points in one evening. The sessions cover the following domains: leadership & accountability, communication and professionalism, and are accredited for optometrists and dispensing opticians. The GOC & OCCS have highlighted communication with patients as a significant factor in complaints, stressing the ability to communicate effectively as an important competency for optical professionals. Our collaboration will utilise content from the OCCS to deliver a series of 6-point CPD events to provide insight and a new essential resource to alleviate any concerns over discussing AMD with patients and the associated time constraints of a busy practice. Each event includes two sessions, both designed to be highly engaging and interactive.  The first session allows delegates to discuss three redacted case studies indicative of OCCS complaints, the second session will focus on harnessing the power of the OCT to provide the highest level of patient care. Delegates will learn about the advances in imaging techniques and diagnosis of ocular pathology.
