Benefits of OCT in AMD

Summary:  AMD is a leading cause of sight loss in the UK, with an aging population meaning that prevalence is increasing in the population.
The aim of this presentation is to demonstrate the benefits of the use of OCT in AMD by helping clinicians understand Interpretation & the clinical signs of AMD (both wet and dry) including hemorrhages, oedema, RPE breaks, disorganisation of layers, atrophy along with disease classification using an OCT and progressing further to touch on the appearance and benefits of OCT-A. This presentation will include some case examples to also show the importance and benefit of OCT being used for monitoring patients with AMD and how the technology available may help with referring patients from emerging GA therapies.
